Counting Fun | Summer Learning Inspiration Mini Lesson

Let’s work on COUNTING!  This is one of my all time favorite mini lessons because the options for fun objects to count are endless!! This mini lesson is simple: 1. Set out some of the number flashcards from our Original flashcard set.  2.  Have your child identify the number and then count out that number of items. 3. Let your little learner place the counted items above, on or under that number flashcard. You can use just about anything....the kiddos love to count their favorite toys and favorite snacks.  Taste testing and early subtraction are usually part of the mini lessons when using delicious treats ;) ***

Color Creativity | Summer Learning Inspiration Mini Lesson

Let’s work on COLOR identification!  This mini lesson is perfect for your little ones who are learningto identify and master their colors. 1. Set out the shape and color flashcards from our Original flashcard set.  2. Then head to your toy/play area and collect all kinds of items of different colors. You can use blocks, cars, play food....anything you have on hand!  3. Head back to where your color flashcards are set out and help your little one sort the items collected by color. Say the color name and place the toy on or near that color flashcard.
